AnandTech PC Games Giveaway Thread
The (Un)Official AnandTech
PC Games Giveaway Thread
For those of us who get a little too crazy with our spending habits, we'll often have some extra Steam games sitting around that we don't need. Have some spare activation codes from a bundle? Maybe there's some bonus games sitting in your Steam inventory that you're trying to get rid of? This thread will act as an outlet for those games, so they can go to people who might appreciate them.
Anyone who wants to give away extra copies of games can do so here. To make things interesting, the gifter can bestow "challenges" for potential giftees in order to win games. These are small, fun, non-serious contests people can participate in to prove that they really want the game. (It can be as simple as: "Write three sentences describing why you enjoy survival horror." Or, "Write a caption for this image. The winning caption gets a free game.")
Rules
To keep things under control, there are a few simple rules to follow:
1) This is a gifting thread only - NO trading. If you would like to trade with someone, do it in another thread, or somewhere else entirely. This thread is purely intended for gifting and giveaways. When the Summer/Holiday sales roll around and people want to trade, there will be a thread for that. Just don't do it here.
2) To receive a game, you must be an AnandTech forums member for at least 6 months. Again, you must be a community member for at least SIX months. Period. This is to prevent noobs from registering on the forums just to mooch free stuff. If someone asks for a game, and they're account is only 1 day old with 1 post, then ignore them. (Or point at them and laugh.)
3) Game keys must not be posted publicly, and should only be sent through PMs/Private Messages. This helps enforce rule #2; free games should only go to established forum members, and not to random visitors trying to get freebies. This is also necessary to make sure the key actually ends up in the hands of the person it belongs to.
4) If the gifter holds a contest for a free game, the potential giftees must post their answers/entries publicly in the thread. While gifts/keys themselves are sent privately, everything else should be posted publicly in the thread for everyone to see. It's more community-oriented and fun this way. If you're contest somehow requires private messaging for security/safety reasons, then it's probably not appropriate for here, and shouldn't be done at all.
5) After you have given away your game, edit your original post to indicate that the game has been taken. This is to eliminate confusion, and prevent people from requesting an offer that's already been taken. Not everyone reads through the entire thread. Save people the extra work and just edit your post.
Finally: Keep things civilized, and - more importantly - be nice. We're all friends here. The bigger of a douche you are, the less likely I'm going to give you any stuff. Just participate in the contests, follow the rules, and have fun.
If anyone has any suggested changes to the OP or rules, then let me know.

To start things off, I'll be giving away a Steam code for the game Legendary.
To win the game, just answer this question: If you could possess three different superpowers, what would they be?
I'll pick the winner in ~24 hours (tomorrow night).
Edit: Taken.

Telekenesis
Teleportation
The ability to always be healthy; not necesarrily immortal, but never get sick, stay in great shape, etc...I would still age and eventually die.

i have a suggestion, take out the 1 year limit lol i wanna participate haha i have... 6 months but im kinda active in THIS forum (not in the rest though)
Btw... i would suggest this site for gifting steam related keys/gifts... www.steamgifts.com
there people give away steam games and you enter the giveaway spending points according to the price of the game (the points are given for free, everytime someone submits a giveaway there EVERY user gets 5% - or 10% cant remember- of the price in points)
then, whent he giveaway ends the winner gets automatically chosen randomly
you can make private giveaways that only people with the link to it can enter. Or make a ANANDTECH steam group and make the giveaway only visible to people inside that group
thanks for the gift btw, i already got the game

1.Time control
2.Mind control/persuasion
3.Flight- think it would be fantastic fun..except I'm afraid of heights so that might not be any good...

1. Enhanced Intelligence
2. Peak Human Longevity
3. Nothing Else
Through Enhanced Intelligence I would be able to achieve infinitely more. All through research and technology I would be able to have super strength, flight, speed, and etc. I would also like to be a technological innovator for the human species as well. Whether or not I would lead the forefront of research would be another story. My hard work should not be shared entirely with the world but in times of need when I would become most useful. Longevity is there only for the purpose of research, if I can't manage to research a way to increase longevity of being a human being I would want to make sure I could maximize my results of working towards that goal. I don't want to be immortal either; eventually I would like to die like a human being. I want my superpowers to be masked from the majority of people. Besides longevity I would like to live as a human being for periods of time. Longevity will cause me to constantly travel, change identities, and even potentially get plastic surgery, or constantly wear a mask, but it would all be well worth the effort.

1. Immortality (But I can choose when to die)
2. Time travelling
3. And just in case, power mimicry
I could then live forever, travel forward through time to obtain tech that isn't yet here and use it back in this time, and if anyone is more powerful than me, I can mimick his power and obtain it. And if I do get destroyed by a superior force, I would just choose to die instead of getting imprisoned/tortured etc.

You're right, that's a bit stringent. I've changed the requirement to 6 months.
I've been to that site. It's cool I guess, but I'd rather give the games away here.
Some sweet super-powers so far. I like what I'm reading.

would suggest that there be a minimum number of posts as part of the requirement as well.
Not interested in the game key, but... My three super powers would be
1. The ability to read minds
2. Teleportation
3. Danger Sense

Three different superpowers used in conjunction with one another or more like three ones you'd be alright with having separately? Either way, I'll give it my best shot.
1) Ability to produce arc lightning - like Raiden from Mortal Kombat. Not only could you be your own energy source for anything from transportation to cooking, but you could also throw down some of the sickest looking tricks at parties
2) Ability to slow or stop time.
3) Ability to fly. This is always common, but hey, this would honestly be one of the most entertaining things to have.
EDIT: Whoops too late.
