Which of these IK belts is better? http://i.imgur.com/00Sye.jpg

My confusion is that I use frenzy as my main attack but the 199str belt would be better for Rend which I also use. Which would you keep?

Do you use frenzy often or are you WW'ing around? If so, the 199 str would be better.

I'd say the higher strength. 100 Str should translate to 100% (however the hell they calculate it) to weapon damage according to the paper doll hover-over. The 9% probably gets compounded somehow, but I'd say the extra strength, regardless. Don't forget the bonus to armor.

Oh... I thought it was capped at 25%, but then I used one of the new shrines, which put me at around 35%. Thought the cap was raised.

Even better then, won't have to covet a good pair fo Lacuni's. Still need an IK chest piece.

So, what is everyone's set to legendary drop ratio? I've found over 25 legendary items since 1.05 and only 1 set item.

I've found about 15-20 legendaries and I think 3-4 set items. 1:5 does seem high though. I want to say more like 1:8?

25% is the cap on gear. You can get over that with skills, passives, and that shrine.


I have not found a single set piece. Ever. But a ton of legendary items.

Legendary to Set ratio is probably 15+ to 1. Out of my ass, but I've found 2 or 3 set items before. Only 1 was any good. Legendaries have mostly been turd. Probably 5 were sold for millions.

My legendary to set items are about 15:1.

I found a trifecta rare gloves yesterday and put it up for auction on RMAH at $28/60. I priced the starting bid to be competitive against similar gloves on there. I'm thinking I could probably get more for it though, what do you guys think (private sale even)? (Sorry, I don't have it hosted anywhere so couldn't link a pic.)

About 30~ legendaries and 2 set items. Zunimassa's pox and blackthorne's surcoat (which I'm using).

I've gotten maybe 5 set items and 15+ legendary items since the patch. 2 of those set items sold for 75m+ and 110m+ respectively, by far my best haul ever. The rest have been pretty meh.

Found 1 set item and maybe 10 legendaries....maybe not even 10 legendaries.

What mp do you play and what is your mf? I'm averaging 1 legendary every 30min or so. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm doing mp3 at 265mf with faster kills or mp5 345mf and slightly slower kills.

Every 30 minutes is insane, I run mp4 mostly with 350% mf and don't find them at near that rate. I'd say I average 1 a day with about 2 total hours of game play per day, sometimes go few days without one, then I'll go 2-3 in a day.

I usually get at least 1 legendary a day and I only do 2-3 act 3 runs at mp4 and 270 MF unbuffed. Yesterday I got 3 legendaries and a set ring all in the same run, but only thing that's not shit is the ring. :p

I usually find one or two Legendary items if I happen to be playing about four or five hours... but that's not a constant, it just seems to be happening "often enough", under such conditions (I.E. playing a crap load). I unfortunately can't play as much as I used to play such games (my D2 days are long gone). I can play about six hours or so almost non-stop but only some week-ends, not all the time.

I do rarely find one "out of the blue" Legendary right after starting a game and just opening some random normal chest without any NV stack at all, in fact it happened just about two days ago in Act 2 (on MP4 I believe it was)... just started the game, went to the Oasis, killed some normal mobs, saw a chest, opened and boom, there drops a Blade of the Warlord (it sucked, but still... Legend from a chest just like that).

As for the Set items... when I see one drop and I'm playing with someone else I often joke about it and say something like "what are green items? I just saw one drop right now". But seriously Set items really are extremely rare, for me anyway, I know it's the same thing for many others, it also explains why the good rolls (not "best", just good ones) can cost you a month or two worth of constant 10 hours-a-day farming and selling. Bah... ok not that bad I guess but anyway, yeah they're rare.

I did find the IK's chest armor recently though, from a normal mob so... I won't exactly complain about set items just right now. Let's just say that they are rare but I'm one of the few out there who found something satisfying enough to just shut it down for a while. I like to still complain about sucky Lvl 62-63 Legendaries though... I laugh when I see a Lvl 63 Sky Splitter with 400 dps on it.

My Legends to Set ratio would be around 15:1 or maybe 15:2 or so.

I got new gloves and they were expensive, more than I cared to pay for but exactly what I wanted.

I don't understand the need for so much health. I have plenty of buffer at 32k on my monk, and most barbarians have much more survivability than me. Stack STR gems IMHO.

I've never been interested in Hardcore mode, it can only end in terrible disappointment. One lag spike and you're dead

^ Exactly. I've known several people that immediately lost interest in playing after leveling a hardcore character up and died due to a lag spike.

The auction house is a lot more reasonable for prices, but that's pointless if you can lose it all in one fell swoop of an overloaded server lagging your connection for 2 seconds.

You could always look at it like an unforeseen challenge, but I'd rather start trying to slit my wrists without actually killing myself. There's a challenge. Risk? Meh, whatever! >.>
