So, I paired my phone, signed up for my account, and ran a vehicle health check, but where is it? It is a mystery. No email, and nothing in my account.

Oh, it just takes it a few minutes, and I started to panic... "Brake service required"

It's a manual. You start the car and run the report while it is sitting still... Who *wouldn't* have the parking brake on?

I didn't keep up with this thread...
'meh, GT500...nothing new about that...whatever gets his boat floated...'
Then I was skimming and saw exdeath mention 600hp...holy shit. How did I not know they were making a 660hp Mustang? That's obscene/retarded/awesome.
Fun to think about how at the height of the muscle car era, with the gross horsepower ratings used...this thing would be like 800hp (edit: actually, I think 900 would probably be closer). Steve McQueen would be a stain on the road.

Congrats and drive it smart!

How much liability / deductible?
I pay $270 / 6 months for my Boss 302. My coverage has liability for 150k each person / 300k accident, comp, collision, medical, unisured, and $500 deductible. Can't complain at all for full coverage at that rate.

I'll have to double check when I get home.
I did up my deductible to $1k because the price differential for that extra $500 out of pocket that isn't going to hurt me at all was pretty silly.

That price is for the only car on my plan. I actually pay per 6 months. My company doesn't do 12 month plans as far as I know. Only 6 month.

??? WTH? Who are you using for your insurance? I'm paying ~$500 / 6 months for a 2011 Mustang GT. And I have a spotless record...I'm also no youngster.

Insurance isn't based on how much power a car has, its based on accident statistics and how common the vehicle is has a significant impact on that.
People of all ages wreck more Mustang GTs daily than there are Bosses and Cobras even produced.
My 03 Cobra coupe is like half as much to insure as a Mustang GT convertible for example.

Well I would think insurance premiums would also be based on the value of the car too.

Wife and I pay $378/6mo for 2011 WRX and 2007 Mazdaspeed 6 combined. We get full coverage, albeit with higher deductibles. We also get discounts for homeowners insurance with them, safe driver, being with them for a long time, AAA membership, etc. This is with AAA Wisconsin.

I pay like 1600 a year for a base engine Mazda3. =(
To be fair, it's a 2011. And my previous car...a 2011...was totaled, after being with Geico for under a year. And they did a good job covering it. It's mostly just that whole "you're at fault for pulling out in front of a speeding car that you couldn't see but assumed wasn't there because their light was red" thing. I think that ruined the supposed mid/late 20's insurance rate break I always heard about....

I'm only 28. That being said, when I was 24 full coverage on my liter bikes was $1100/yr.

This is true, I've got $100+ worth of discounts on the boss for the multi car discounts + home insurance.

State Farm, been with them since 2006. No tickets in that time period, I keep the track as my playground, not public roads.

Man, I actually dropped State Farm because they were going to charge me $800 for 6 months on the new car. And I've been with them since I was 16 years old (in my 30's now). I then switched to Progressive where they quoted me $450 every six months, almost half of what SF quoted. Seriously, I don't know how insurance companies come to their figures.

I'm pretty sure a number of insurance companies eek up your premium price every year and hope you don't notice or care enough to change policies. A co-worker of mine showed a quote from another company to his current insurance provider and saved about 50%.
At 25 I'm paying $560/6 months for full coverage on my MS3 and Miata... I get a variety of discounts like multi-vehicle, multi-policy, college graduate, and proximity to my workplace.
Insurance costs also vary wildly depending on where you live. A friend of mine moved from NH to Boston, less than 2hrs away, and his insurance premium about doubled.
