ASUS N56VZ Wireless doesn't wake up

The Wireless on my Asus N56 notebook does not wake up after the computer wakes up from sleep. I have turned off power saving in the Device Manager.
Is anyone familiar with the Hybrid power management tool that ASUS bundles into the machines.

Any other ideas or known maladies?

Update. After updating the Atheros WLan drivers, the notebook's wireless now wakes up after 45-60 seconds when resuming from sleep. The only add on that I am running besides ASUS bloatware and power management is AVG Fr33 2013. Disabling that does not impact wireless restart times.

Still wondering if anyone BTDT. I thought I remembered a couple threads on this when this notebook first came out, but can't find anything searching here (or elsewhere).
