What the fuck! I've never seen so many blown calls in my life. The refs have literally gifted the Giants 2 touchdowns.
The league must have decided the Giants get to win this one because their shitty city got wrecked by a hurricane.

The PI call I don't get at all, he arrives to defend, plays the ball, reaches around receiver to knock it away, looked like a perfectly defended pass IMO, then the penalty for the hit on Cruz in the EZ, for all the DB knows Cruz has the ball and it was a legal hit, then how can you call Ben's errant throw a fumble?, if I was a Steeler fan I'd be pissed right now..

This is ridiculous. This is why hockey is so much better. When the refs fuck up a call they give an even up call to the other team a few minutes later.
In football they just refuse to acknowledge they fucked up. Penalties over 5 yards should be reviewable.

at least make PI a 10yd call, not 46 free yds on a blown call..

On the first PI the receiver's body was turned by the defender's right hand. It was borderline, but you can't do that.
Ball was loose in Ben's hand when it was moving forward.
Second PI was obvious.
If you want to complain about the PF on Cruz, fine. That's 4 points.

Bullshit. That wasn't even close to PI on the first call. So 7 points on the first drive they gifted the Giants. Ben had control of the ball when his arm started going forward. That's the whole point of the tuck rule.
Best case the Giants should be losing 10-7 right now. IMO it should be 10-0.

Ok, well I'm talking about the actual rules here, not what you want the rules to be. If his body turns it's PI. And even Cowher acknowledged that the fumble was the right call. Watch it again, the ball clearly moved in his hand. Do you think he normally grips the ball with just his fingertips?

I'm looking forward to seeing what BS the refs have in store for the second half. Probably lots of holding calls since Redman is torching the Giants D.

Like the missed hold on the long pass that set up the Pittsburgh field goal? Quit your bitching.

Pass Interference on the whole needs some sort of revision, for the good of the whole game. It's way too easy for borderline calls like that to turn games on their head. I almost feel like the first two maybe should be 10/15/20s or maybe "half the distance" or something with all calls in the 4th quarter enforced in full. Convoluted and still subject to a "hack a shaq" sort of effect though :/

Really? You mean they got the personal foul call on Clark right when he hit the guy square in the chest?
Dumbass.

I was clearly talking about the penalties Mugs was referring to. Continue being a fool if you insist.

Woot. Steelers pull it off, well played Redman and Wallace, turned it around for us. Hope Rainey's injury isn't too serious though.

Doug Martin is ON FIRE! 251 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns, are you kidding me?!

It was 265 rushing yards but for some dumbass reason tampa decided to run backwards for 14 yards instead of just taking a knee. Costing me a fantasy point and dropping Martin from second rookie rushing game all time to tied for 3rd. Idiots.

Yeah, I was steam rolled by someone in fantasy football this week. Between Martin and the Chargers defense, that was 76 points alone.

I just jumped in the thread to ask if anyone has noticed the refs are doing everything possible to help the Giants win?
