Random crashes and blue screens - memory?
I've just built a brand new computer as follows:
Seasonic 650W Platinum power supply
Asus P8Z77-V Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3-1600: 4x8GB
2x Intel 520 240GB
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660
Windows 8 Pro
I'm not overclocking anything. CPU is running at stock (only "OC" feature turned on is Asus Multi-Core enhancement). Memory is running at 1.53V (bumped up from 1.5V to try to fix the problems) and 9-9-9-24-2T, which is what it is rated for. Fresh install of Windows 8 Pro. I've tried builtin drivers as well as the latest ones from Asus.
In the last 1/2 a day, I've had the following crashes/blue screens:
BSOD - 0x000000ef CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED
BSOD - 0x0000003b SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
BSOD - 0x0000001a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
iexplore.exe APPCRASH with 0xc0000005
waterfox.exe APPCRASH with 0xc0000005
mmc.exe APPCRASH with 0xc0000005
explorer.exe APPCRASH with 0xc0000005
tiworker.exe APPCRASH with 0xc0000374
EDIT: And now I just got a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA BSOD when shutting down to reboot with memtest.
The random nature of the problems makes me lean toward memory issues, but I've run HCI memtest, Windows memory diagnostics, and Prime95 with no issues. I'm just getting ready to run memtest86 for a while. Any other ideas?
