18. Once I went to college I pretty much stopped wearing sneakers unless I was running or working out in some other fashion. Jeans is either boots or sandals.

I see age groups from 8-80+ wearing sneakers and jeans, at what time do the thread topics improve??

I'll be 30 in a couple months and I still wear sneakers with jeans. To be more specific, I wear skate shoes cause I like the look and they're comfortable, but I don't see myself stopping wearing sneakers with jeans.

Depends what you mean by sneakers. Running shoes? Lol, no. I wear Converse Chuck Taylors with jeans and don't see myself stopping anytime soon.

I'm almost 40 and I still wear them. I don't think I'll come to the age where I don't.

I'll be 42 in a couple of weeks and I only wear two kinds of shoes with my jeans: sneakers and hiking boots.

I stopped white sneakers and moved to hiking shoes, which are essentially darker coloured sneakers. They look a bit better.
If I weren't cheap as shit, I'd go and buy me a pair of dressier shoes.

A variety of BDU colours are available. Black is at once versatile and understated. Their comfort and utility trump dungarees by far as well.

Stop? Why would I want to stop? Unless I get a job where I can't, I will continue doing so.

He might wanna check out some Tru-Spec 24/7 Pants or 5.11 TacLite Pro Pants. I have a pair of black Tru-Spec pants and they're great, though IMO they seem to run a bit big by a size or size-and-a-half.

here and in Italy no one stops wearing jeans ever.
Also sneakers in casual situations but they get subtler.

They go hand in hand, kind of like a Dos XX and a shot of Patron. Will never stop wearing both, why should you?

I did this too. Low cut hiking shoes in a tan/brown, with minimal flare. If you go with a brand like Garmont they're still as cushy as sneakers, but they don't end up looking beat up and dirty like sneakers. They also go better with BLACK socks.

You obviously never wintered at Great Lakes Naval Training Center (Illinois). The wind off of the lake whistled up underneath the pea coat, and while your chest & arms were warm, your butt froze solid!
In answer to the OP's question, why would you ever switch from jeans & sneakers, if they're comfy? Even when I'm drooling in my Wheaties, in the old folk's home, I'll still dress that way!

Fell in love with Chucks for a few years. Then I realized how little support they offered. My feet felt like shit whenever I walked more than a few kilometers a day, which i do regularly living in the city.

I'm 30 and live out in the country. I have to drive 10 miles from work to go get lunch. Fashion is not in my vocabulary.
