need advice on gaming PC

Hi everyone, I am building my son a gaming pc and would like some advice.
I originally did not want to spend no more than 600.00 on all items but I am at about 800.00.Any advice will be greatly appreciated..

1.He plays online multi-player FPS games mostly
2.budget is 600.00 to 800.00
3.USA / there is a microcenter close by
4.I do not really have a preference but the two systems I've built in the past have been AMD
5.Already have 19" 720p and monitor that I will be replacing soon,keyboard and mouse,case
6.May overclock if necessary
7.Building before Christmas

Here is the list of hardware that i have put together

gtx 560 ti
gskill Ripjaws 8gb
Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler
Crucial M4 128 GB 2.5 SSD
WD Caviar Black 500GB 7200 RPM
OCZ Fatality 750W PSU

At a budget of $800, your best bet is to upgrade the monitor to 1080p then spending $650 on the PC itself

Also, if you have an MC close by, they have bundle deals where you can chop $50 off of the board.

I'd suggest you get a different brand PSU. OCZ isn't the greatest, nor is it the most reliable.
Brands I'd suggest to you: SeaSonic, PC Power & Cooling (most are built by SeaSonic), Corsair, Enermax, and Corsair. However, this depends on your future additions to the machine. If you're only going to run 1 video card, you don't need a 750w power supply. A quality 550w would do just fine.

Out of curiosity, what's the 560Ti running you?

He said online multi-player FPS - so that's likely to be fairly demanding games, especially as if he plays them seriously he will want constant 60 fps

Hm, so you want a nice $210AR graphics card? This XFX 7870 Double-D beats a 560ti every time (except for low-res Starcraft).

I assume you're bundling your CPU and mobo at Micro Center. I wouldn't get the Extreme4 over, say, the Pro4, unless you're sure you're going to crossfire or SLI at some point.

If he plays them seriously, it's not essential to have a powerful GPU that can run the games at 60fps on high settings. Low settings are fine for competitive FPS and usually result in better visibility
