Darn, I started 3 of my rigs 1 hour early. I used network preferences to start them while I was at work and miscalculated. Sorry guys.

Sorry to hear that BioDoc. But you did the right thing when you found out: You aborted the early WUs. (But see PM.)

40 cores! nice!
I finished adding 13 cores.
Also finished uploading the first 9 completed WUs!
WUs are taking from 18 to 23 hours to complete. Some serious beasts.

It's a long race, but so far we're in a good place. And that's before any results from Peter.
Only one of my machines was fast enough to return work so far. So I expect lots more computers and people to show up. FYI, for the record, on our team, zzuupp was the first to return work.

Nice ... I have slower cores and I think only 26 - 28 hours WUs ...

Core 2 Quads, like the one I'm typing on, are particularly memory-limited. So not only are they slower than some other machines, each WU runs slower when you run four at once. Like I said in the first post, if you can get your memory running faster, stably, your WUs will run faster.

My fast WU's are on an i2600 with HT OFF. So, I did half the task in half the time.
Is this is actually more productive in the long haul? I dunno

Wish I could jump in but Core 2 Duo is slow!! Wish I had a 24-core Xeon now. Or 64-core Parallella.

We're slipping! I guess we're being beaten with half a BRIC.
Come on in, Kiska! The average (2.5-3GHz) Core 2 Duo can do about two WUs in 24 hours. And each WU gets you about 24,000 points. So you can still make a significant contribution.

Can you post the boinc event log? Also OS and boinc version?
Also in PrimeGrid preferences make sure:
use cpu: yes
use ATI gpu: no
use nvidia GPU: no
Send work from any subproject if selected projects have no work: no
321 Prime Search (LLR) : check cpu
