i had my car in storage(closed garage, on jacks, didnt drain tank) for 2 years back in college, my parents didnt want me driving around instead of studying during freshman and sophomore years. the gas separated and clogged the fuel filter module which had to be replaced. so, yes gas can go bad.

I hooked it up to this:

I'll be gone for half a year or more and I'm leaving in 5 hours. Did I just condemn this battery to death?

Honest question: Why don't you just sell it?

I want to have a vehicle on paper as my personal vehicle. I don't want to have one car for both work and business because I hate tracking business mileage and personal mileage. I'd rather not worry about it at all.

Because this scenario definitely doesn't introduce problems. . .

I don't mean to derail your thread, but that makes no sense. If you're using one car for business and personal and then own another car that is never driven but claims it's your personal, then that's cheating the tax man, which is the last person you want to cheat. Not that we all don't in some way or another.
Either way, I would consult a tax person to see if what you're doing makes sense. You could probably get quite a bit of money for that car if you sold it. Is it worth letting an asset just rot in a yard in exchange for not tracking a few miles?

So you're doing it to cheat on your taxes?
