Default Blacksn0w! :)

Just unlocked my 3.1.2 3GS right now with it and seriously, it couldn't be easier. I already had mine jailbroken through pwnage tool but not unlocked. I unlocke by adding blackra1n to cydia and going from there. Weirdly, cydia keeps on showing me that there is an update to blacksn0w, even though I already installed it.

Otherwise, everything is good! How about you guys?

Nice! I haven't given this a go, but probably will eventually.

So much for 3.1.2 baseband being "un-unlockable". ;

/sigh. I'm still on 3.0

I seem to have somehow stumbled upon free data on my pre-paid account and don't want to change anything!

iphone explorer didnt work for me, but i installed afncc or whatever it was off cydia and it worked. unfortunately, itunes/my iphone became screwy and told me i had the wrong sim, my iphone name was changed back to default, etc. i ended up restore back to my custom ipsw from pwnage tool, and just unlocking via blacksn0w on cydia.

i wonder if the dev team will update pwnage tool to have 3.1.2 jailbroken and unlocked?

I have an iPhone 3G on stock 3.0.1 firmware. Is there a way to preserve the base band before using Blacksn0w to upgrade and unlock 3.1.2?

Just so that I'm clear here, this is just an unlock? They still haven't found a way to do a fresh jailbreak for 3.1.x on the 3GS?

Blackra1n will jailbreak .. Blacksn0w will unlock. The 3.x.x OTB on 3GS has been jailbroken for a few weeks now. Pawnage tool can also do it.
