Tiger Direct has the AMD X2 5000+ Black Edition Processor for $59 after $20 instant savings, and a $30 rebate.

Don't count on the rebate. Tiger Direct is notorious for not sending rebates. Still, $59 ain't bad.

the rebate is from Crucial/Micron/Lexar, which is actually very reliable for their rebates--I've gotten several hundred dollars worth of rebates from it in the last 3 years. I've bought numerous items with rebates from TD and never had any problems, either.

and, following a little nudge from the feds, td now actually processes rebates...

That "problem" hasn't been an issue from TD for almost two years now......wish people would quit bringing up old problems that aren't any longer. But what can you expect from some who just parrot what they read and have no real experience, esp. recently.

OP....you may want to redo your title to reflect the price has increased to $69 AR and the fact the processor is an OEM version and doesn't include a hs/fan, despite TD showing a boxed version in the ad.

remember to add $7.00 for shipping

Still won't deal with TD or SOYO though, once a bad apple always a bad apple, they deserve to go bankrupt as far as i'm concerned, so i willl never buy anything from either.

While it may be true that TD now fills rebates, and the "TD and rebate, oh no" posts are no longer warranted, some will not shop there as a point of principal. A company that only stopped screwing their customers b/c of legal action taken against them isn't a company many feel deserves their business. This isn't the point NaughtyGeek made, but just b/c TD has "fixed" their rebate situation doesn't mean the screw job TD pulled on it's customers for years should be forgotten.
