I see laptops for relatively cheap on craigs list almost every day. Problem is the hardware is almost unusable for todays apps (Pentium 2/3). So I have a couple questions:
1. Where is THE place to buy laptop parts?
2. How do you tell if it will fit the case?
This would also be a learning experience for me. I've never worked on a laptop :D

ebay..
but i think its more trouble than its worth. those parts.. no guarantee that they'll all be in perfect working condition if you buy them. a lot are sold 'as is'
but if you do finally manage to assemble it all.. and something doesnt work or even turn on.. good luck trying to troubleshoot the problem.
