I am glad the flipper is carry over from A1200.
I think it is the only PDA phone that can prevent your coin or key scratching the touch screen inside your pocket?

According to Chinese-based eNet, this bugger will sport quad-band GSM connectivity, a 3.2-megapixel camera (with autofocus), WiFi, assisted-GPS, a couple of built-in games, a "talking dictionary" and a Linux-based OS.

As far as keys and coins and scratching... just get a plastic screen protector for a regular PDA? :)

More seriously, if you were worried about scratching the screen, I'd be worried about scratching the paint. It seems to me, flip or not, you need a cover or screen protector or something.

Yeap! My everyday cell phone is a 2+ year old Motorola Pebl U6.
Its a basic phone, absolutely NOTHING special about it. (other than auto flip up mech.)

However, it still looks like the first day I bought it. Rubberized housing is scratch resistant and so easy to grip!!! Unfortunatley, U9 follow the fashion w/ "mirror-type" of housing.

hhaa... the paint. Maybe it's just me, but I always Ebay everything when I'm done with it - cell phones in particular - so I'm always very careful about scratches whether on the screen, or in the paint. I act like on my phones, and all the rest of my portable electronics, like a scratch will cost me several dollars (which it likely will) and treat the things like they are museum antiques. :)

But maybe I'm a little weird. Frugal, but weird. :)

But I hear you on the flip phones - I prefer them too. Although now that I've started using my phone for maps and surfing the internet, I'm a big fan of large screen real-estate and so I'm more of an N95/iPhone/big-screen fan, and I just use plastic screen protectors on them. But even those are annoying because I'll put them in with my keys and will scratch the screen protector and they aren't cheap either.
